Now who said that it’s hard to pull off a gig for free? How did Redslim pull up a gig like this in the first place?
Kudos to Redslim for the gig. I myself have visited the gig and checked on how it was. The gig was very pleasant loaded with people who wanted to support redslim on his gig. I even discussed with Redslim and asked permission if I can give out flyers and announce the awareness of no to pay to play on stage. And I was given the opportunity. It was a successful plug since most feedback I got was applause.
Jein of BEATS Inc. was there and I finally got to meet her, she seems to be a very nice person and even helped me out in distributing the flyers. I just hope that most productions are like hers, very mature.
Heartburn was there and I was able to talk to some of their members (excluding Jamilove and Jaja). It turned out okay; they even mentioned that they never expected me to be there on that gig to give out flyers against the scum productions. I am preparing an interview for them and hopefully have them off the list permanently.
As to all productions on the list, we can still have them off it, as long as you have the proper manner to do so. As far as I can recall, productions taken out are Exegesis, BEATS Inc, Heartburn, What the fvck, Black Mass Productions. The rest I do not remember anymore. Samahang Musikero Pilipinas stays on the list because of the outcome of the conversation, and they are still considered as a Scum production, Organization or whatever they want to call themselves. They are the first Production who was retained in the list after having a conversation with them.
To Redslim, thank you very much for having me over to announce the awareness. May his production serve as an example for the others, that no matter how hard it is to put up a gig, there are always ways on how to make it a successful one without having the bands pay.
