Teng: ahhmm our prod.? GC started last 2006. We had our first event a party a-venue (our home bar). That time mag isa lang ako sa prod.With the help of other bands like Aftermath (a friend of mine) . They told me na mapalipat-lipat ako ng bar. para makilala.
We don't have any rules before. It is Absolutely free. No entrance, No ticket selling and everything. Kinaya ko na gawing free kasi maganda yung dealing ko ith pary a-venue. Wala masyadong binabayaran as in parang libre.
Z: And how about other venues?
Teng: Ayun. nag try kami sa malate, pasig and makati. Okay din naman yung dealing. We tried hard to please the owner na babaan yung rental or gawing bar guarantee para hindi mabigat. Pero sabi negosyo daw yun kaya sorry. they promised to do something about that. Pero wala eh, they didn't text me to inform if may nag bago sa dealing. so again, we looked for venues around Quezon City para malapit. Bumalik ako sa part a-venue. Kaso ilang months nalang mag mimigrate na c Ma'am Jean (owner).
Z: When did you start to have bands pay to play?
Teng: Not actually pay to play yung GC. Kasi if bands failed to bring 6 guest we still allow them to play. Sayang kasi yung effort nila na bumyahe pa di ba? Six guest lang naman yung required namin and karamihan ng tumutugtog samin nag sasama ng parents kaya di mahirap.

Z: Whats the purpose of the "policy" if you have the bands play even without guests? And I am sure you have mentioned "requirement".
Teng: Yeah that's it. We require bands to bring not less than 6 friends. But as i have said we do have considerations if needed.
Teng: Look if bands brought at least 4 guests and 6 guests is required. But then they arrived on time (5pm) and they came from let's say Cavite we allow them to play.
But then, if the band did not bring any one. We don't allow them play. Why? Because if other bands knew that incident, our productions’ policy will not be obeyed by others. Right my dear?
Z: so thats the consideration?
Teng: Yes.
Z: but you have mentioned to me earlier that you still have the bands play even if the bands did not bring guests. Am I right?

Teng: If bands failed to bring at least 6 friends sorry.
Z: With your own words there’s one big major conflict to it, why?
Teng: Because I missed to type 'at least'?
Z: Would you like to rephrase your first sentence?
Teng: somehow, yes. Would you allow me to that? If not. Then that's it.
(Reverts back to question number 3)
Z: When did you start to have bands pay to play?
Teng: I told you i don't want it to be called as PAY TO PLAY.
Z: Then what is it called?
Teng: Just like the normal production that you know. Okay. I can't remember the year. Maybe 4 events of ours. We require bands to bring 6 guests. Before kasi kahit ilan lang ung madala ng banda. Parang we encourage them to bring guest kasi nakakahiya sa bar if wala masyadiong umo-order. Like in Party a-venue super baba lang ng bigay samin. So in return pinipilit naming pataasin yung sales nila.
Z: I see, How about ticket selling?
Teng: Ticket selling/ bring guest i can't remember. Sorry.
Z: Can't remember what? (no pun intended)
Teng: I don’t remember the year on when we started asking bands to sell tickets.
Z: On your present gig schedules, did you have bands sell tickets?
Teng: on our present gigs? We are telling them to bring not less than 6 friends. When somebody texted me or send me message on friendster I am telling them to read our rules first. So they will have the idea regarding our rules and the production as well.
Teng: Kung lahat lang ng bar eh 'BAR GUARANTEE' wala na sanang entrance basta uminom lang sila at kumain okay na. Kaso hindi. Most of the bars kasi puro RENTAL na. So yung entrance fee yung pang bawi ng mga production.
Z: How many tickets do you have them sell?
Teng: 6 tickets. That's why we are telling them to bring 6 friends. Right?
Z: I see, it's different, when you have them bring guests, it only means you dont hand them any ticket to sell. Ticket selling, you hand them tickets for pre-selling.
I am sure you know that, you're in a production.
Teng: yeah that's it. Pero may ticket kami. Sa event nga lang makukuha pag bibili na. Pero there are some bands kasi na gusto kunin na yung ticket para daw mabenta nila.
Teng:Before a band member requested me na ilagay sa ticket P150. But the actual price is P100. I asked him why? Sabi niya para daw may kita sila. Pumayag ako. Pero nung sinabi ko yun sa ibang banda di maganda yung feedback nila. Some say na parang niloloko daw nila yung mga guest nila. Kaya di na namin pinayagan yung request nung isang banda.
Z: This is not intended to stab you directly, but do you ever feel guilty of having the bands work for your own success? I mean they have a lot to pay for like practice, instruments etc.
Teng: Do i feel guilty? Why should I? We are not getting their money. I mean all the entrance fee and everything sa bar yun napupunta. Like what I have said mahal na yung bar rental. And yung entrance fee sa guest ng banda galing.
Z: Have you tried to register in Filipinometal.com?
Teng: Filipinometal? I haven't nagulat nga ako nung nag txt yung isang prod. nakita niya daw name ko dun. I'm too busy for that kasi. Pero gusto ko rin sanang i-check kung ano ba yung sinasabi nila. Nakita ko lang na-site yung notoscum.org or .com (i forgot) nakita ko yung gc prod. kaso napag usapan na namin ng mga staff ko na wag nalang mag react. Opinyon niyo yun wala kaming magagawa. Pero not to the point na gumagawa na kayo ng conclusion regarding the issue. Ang broad ng sagot
Z: how about the general text messages you have been sending out about Filipinometal?
Teng: did I? Do you have any evidence? Pardon?
Z: i am asking you about it, if you don't have anything to do about it, its easy to say so
Teng: I texted who? wait what's this issue?
Z: so you mean you don't have any clue about general messages?
Teng: yes. Not even a single clue my dear.
Z: So I am assuming you have no plans of changing policies
Teng: Uhm.. It depends. But I wanted to conduct a free events. If bars changed theirs. If i found a BAR GUARANTEE which is cheap. HOPE SO.
Z: any last words?
Teng: hmm .. Gusto ko lang i-clear name ng gc pero again ' I CAN NOT PLEASE EVERYBODY'. I am looking for a cheap bar and if i succeed Ipromise to conduct free gigs. It's not a problem when we have enough budget.

Hay nako zsa, liar yan. Pinapatugtog nga nila yung hindi nag dala ng guest pero sisingilin ka pagkatapos mo tumugtog. We had more than 8 guests nung gabi na yun siningil pa kami. harapin mo sakin yan at masampal nga sa uber na kasinungalingan nya.

Kgaya ka ng ibang productions, specially partypipol puro mga bata.yung 2 kong banda sinabotahe nila last may5. nung nakaraang gig ng partypipol pumyag kmi na lastband kmi pero pag dating sa last band ginawang two songs na lang.Pero nung inulit nila nung may5 hindi kmi pinatugtog maaga kmi dumating hindi pa nagstart yung gig, pero nakita ko yung listahan pang8or9 kmi and then sabi nung barbie na nag mamanage ng partypipol na hindi kmi mala last band.Pero ginawa nya and then umabot ng 2:00am wala pa rin nakatugtog sa dalawa kong banda .What the hell! and then the worst part is hindi binalik yung pinambayad namin sa kanila,

the last time I checked, minors are not allowed in night bars that serve liquor. It follows that legally they ought to be banned from organizing 'liquor' events. There is a social, mental and physical science behind this minor restrictions.
