To show support for FilipinoMetal.com's movement against corrupt productions, I decided to go "undercover" to find out how Skylights promotions (in the scum list) and Exegesis productions (removed from the list weeks ago) produce their gigs.

I posed as a band member of a fictitious band, Tweezer. I made a new email account (tweezer_band@yahoo.com) and even a multiply site (http://www.tweezerband.multiply.com). I chatted with them through E-Buddy Messenger (that's why the chat transcript below has indicators like "I say" and "****** says"). Thanks to ZsaZsa for helping.

My first target was Skylights Productions (now Promotions.... but what's the difference?). I chatted with Ralph Razon, one of the owners of that prod. In our chat, he explained the corrupt system of Skylights Promotions.

The verdict?

Someone should flood this guy's cellphone.

My second target was Exegesis Productions. The prod was in the list for a long time, and was only removed because some guy emailed the admin (saying that they're a good prod blah blah blah). So I decided to test them.

I chatted with them a few hours after I interviewed Skylights. Unfortunately, I didnt save the transcript of our chat session. Anyway, so this was how that went through.

I asked them if my "band" can play in their next gig, which will be held on May 7 at Cuerdas Bar in Pasig. They said that they're still open for lineups for that gig. I then asked if my "band" had to pay them in order to perform. "Di kami ganun", was their reply before detailing the prod's guidelines.

The guidelines were acceptable, like the order of performances....call time.... and watching the other bands perform.

They gave me their cellphone number and reiterated that "we" had to text them ASAP. I told them I would text them after calling "our vocalist" to confirm the gig.

Funny though, my contact even said that we should text them because "madaming talkshit dito sa YM". Right you are. hahaha

The verdict?

Exegesis deserves to be off the list.
